2024 FIPRESCI – The International Federation of Film Critics

Aimed to promote film-art and to particularly encourage new and young cinema, FIPRESCI is the international nongovernmental organization. Founded de facto in 1925 by French and Belgian journalists and officially registered on June 6, 1930, FIPRESCI now has members in 60 countries worldwide. FIPRESCI has consolidated its position as an exceptionally authoritative professional organization of very strong influence on the modern international cinematic process. In the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, the FIPRESCI Prize will be given to encourage the outstanding new and young Chinese-language cinema.

Eva PEYDRÓ
Eva Peydró is a Spanish film critic, philologist, writer, and founder of the culture magazine El Hype, published in Spanish and English since 2014. A FIPRESCI and FEDEORA member, she has served as a juror at major film festivals including Cannes, San Sebastián, Venice, Karlovy Vary, and Berlin. She lectures on film criticism and has written two award-winning children's novels and the essay El Último Tango en París (2023). Her recent works include contributions to Ficciones, las Justas (2022) and El Universo de Marlon Brando (2024). Peydró has also been on the programming team for the Cinema Heritage International Film Festival (UNESCO).
TSUKIDATE Nanako
Tsukidate Nanako is a Japanese critic, independent programmer, and researcher specialising in the history of cinema. Based in Paris, she holds a PhD from Paris III, where she studied under Nicole Brenez, focusing on Philippe Garrel and his generation. Tsukidate works as a producer on Following the Sound (2023) by Sugita Kyoshi and as associate producer for Jean-Luc Godard’s Scénarios (2024). She also serves as a consultant for Giornate degli Autori since 2021 and Critics’ Week of Berlin since 2024, and selects short films for the Riga International Film Festival since 2022.
Austin HSU Ming-han
Austin Hsu Ming-han is a Taipei-based art and film critic with a master’s degree in Social Research and Culture Studies from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and a PhD from Taipei National University of the Arts. He served as vice chairman of the Taiwan Film Critics Society (2018-2021) and chief editor of Film Appreciation Journal (2014-2017). His curatorial projects include The Spine of Spectrum (2014), Photoionization (2016), and Momentum Museum (2023). He has participated in international workshops, including Venice’s Research Pavilion #3 in 2019. Hsu also runs the online platform Rhizome-Cinema.
