An Unfinished Film
January 2020. A film crew reunites near Wuhan to resume the shooting of a film halted ten years earlier, only to share the unexpected challenges as cities are placed under lockdown. The crew continues to communicate via video calls whilst the lead actor Jiang Cheng, who is in quarantine, struggles to support his wife who is now locked down with their one-month-old baby in Beijing.
LOU Ye
Lou Ye was born into a theatrical family in Shanghai in 1965 and graduated in Directing from Beijing Film Academy in 1989. His films have been selected by all major film festivals, including Cannes, Venice, Berlinale, and Golden Horse. |
