WEI Te-Sheng's epic film Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale reclaims an extraordinary episode from 20thcentury history which is little-known even in Taiwan. It's a story of the encounter between a people who believe in rainbows and a nation which believes in the sun. It takes the form of a heroic battle in defense of faith and dignity.

Wei Te-sheng rose to fame in 2008 as Cape No.7 became Taiwan's highest-grossing film. His 2011 epic, Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale, won Best Feature Film at the Golden Horse Awards and represented Taiwan at the Academy Awards. |
