鄭佩佩，1946 年生於上海，1960 年移居香港，其後加入邵氏電影公司。六○年代中期開始走紅，演出如《情人石》、《蘭嶼之歌》、《香江花月夜》等文藝片，奠定其影藝事業前景。1966 年在胡金銓執導的《大醉俠》中飾演金燕子，以剛柔兼備形象大放異彩，成為銀幕俠女經典代表，並因主演了大量武俠片，獲得「武俠影后」的稱號。七○年代隨夫婿移居美國，九○年代重返影壇，在周星馳主演的《唐伯虎點秋香》演出華夫人，一展喜劇才華，為其帶來許多新影迷。2000 年於李安執導的《臥虎藏龍》飾演碧眼狐狸，再度喚起武俠電影輝煌歷史，其對角色的深刻詮釋，更為她贏得香港電影金像獎最佳女配角，事業再邁高峰。鄭佩佩不僅在類型電影上有重要意義，也曾促成胡導演遺物的收集和整理，為台灣在電影文物資產保存上做出極大貢獻。2024 年病逝於美國。

Cheng Pei-pei began her career as a trainee at Shaw Brothers Studio and rose to fame in the mid-1960s, notably for her role in Come Drink with Me, which earned her the title of "Queen of Martial Arts." She gained worldwide recognition for her performances in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Lilting. She passed away in 2024 in the United States.
